Just got the S6&S6 Edge Demo's

AStateOfTrance

I'm personally unimpressed.

A lot of the styling cues and material choices feel very Apple-esque, the design is as unchanged as ever, they chose looks over function (lack of removable battery and MicroSD EXPANSION...) and the "Edge" thing seems too much like a gimmick to me. I had tried out a Note 4 Edge, and it just felt odd as a feature. I'll try to keep an open mind.

Not a fan of the edge phones. The S6 looks alright, will need to see a black one before I say anything more. I prefer my note 4 over them all so far.

I can't see it in this photograph, so hopefully Samsung got rid of the pattern inlaid in the glass front. Was never a huge fan of it.

I've already tried them in my local store. I'm unimpressed by the overall design and feel. It's far too similar from the sides to an iphone, looks and feels delicate and flimsy, and the edge is just another weak point that will break if it is ever dropped. I'm far more impressed by the HTC one M9, because that's a far better evolution of an already good device than samsungs attempt at a revolution but just isn't, it's trying to mask over the already large cracks in the wall with some glass and metal.

A friend of mine who works at a Best Buy got them in the other day too and I got to play with them for a bit.

They looked very nice on the table especially the Edge, but as soon as I held it I hated the design. It's SO sharp on the edges and uncomfortable to hold. Seeing as I pretty much never use a case on my phones, it's definitely regular S6 for me, if I were to get one.

I personally like the sharp edges - just like when I held the iPhone 5 for the first time. It's going to help with the grip for me. I'm so glad that Samsung actually took the time to listen to their customers and innovate once more (unlike some other companies who seem to rest on their laurels) -- some will dislike it but it's a welcome change especially how much flack Samsung has received because of their previous build materials.
