School laptop on a budget

So i have a problem, i need a laptop for school and the only thing i need is a word processors, so chromebooks and drive are an option, but basically i just need a laptop for around 300 dollars in us currency. i only have a couple of requirements, it needs to have at least 6 hour battery life and it has to be smaller than 15 inches, EDIT but i forgot to add this used laptops are an option also older ones that used to be good work too, just no c2d or older amd cpus

oh and also im looking for best bang for the buck so used laptops from ebay are cool too :P

I was considering the HP stream 11 does anyone have any previous experience with it , does it have any problem playing YouTube at 720p?

Why not buy ASUS T100 Transformer? It is a Windows 8 tablet with a docking keyboard.

Although it is $50 dollar more than your budget, it is pretty good to have 2 in 1 laptop/tablet thing. :P

i was actually seriously looking into this option, they have the T100A for around 200$ on ebay brand new, this would be a pretty good solution imo

Not bad. It is a good tablet.

Now as for I don't know how well a 2GB RAM can handle a MS Word unless you meant other alternative programs.
