How to install windows 8.1 on a different partition?

The title says it all, how can i do that? and after i do it will my boot loader ask me which os i want to boot to.

The partition where you want to install it needs to be empty.

Put the win8.1 install dvd in and boot from it. At the installation screen it will ask you eventually where you want to install windows. The partition has to be formatted to NTFS.

Okay thanks, BTW ill back up the data and empty my drive if i need to.
