Game Suggestions

I need 5 or so games that are must haves in your own mind. (I'll play just about anything)

 

I'm also brand new to PC gaming, steam especially and would love to play with some of you from the forums. A game I've taken interest in is Arma III and I've purchased that. Let me know your suggestions for games and add me on steam if you'd like!

The Witcher II  (Great RPG and graphical showcase game)
Batman: Arkham Asylum (or the sequel, Arkham City if you don't care about plot)

Borderlands 2 (Great cooporative co op game.   Shines on PC with lots of customizable options.  Super cheap so you can probably get the game, all the DLC characters (Mechromancer and Pyshco) as well as the Season Pass (all 4 DLC campaigns and the level cap increase) for $40-$60).

Left 4 Dead 2  (Kind of an older game now, but a co-op classic with ace gameplay.  Super cheap and still a blast to play with others.  Virtually all PC gamers have this one)

Portal 2  (Physics based puzzle game with a great single player and seperate co-op mode.)

If you want some smaller, indie games that I consider classics, look for Bastion (isometric beat-em-up with RPG elements), Amnesia: The Dark Descent (Survival Horror where running and hiding is your only way to survive), and FTL ('8-bit' starship sim).  They are all relitively cheap and Bastion and FTL both have amazing soundtracks.

I haven't played Max Payne, but GTAIV and LA Noire are both great.  LA Noire doesn't have as fun to replay as GTAIV.  That's a good deal for all three of those games.  Steam's Summer Sale might beat it, but I doubt it'd be by more than $5 for all three games.

Skyrim

Cube World (brand new voxel rpg, inde game that is insanely amazing, look at it on youtube. You may have trouble getting it since the servers keep getting ddosed and are just flooding in general so they are shutting them down and bringing them back up randomly :P)

Saints Row 3 (Personally I just like this game because it is really mindless and silly)

Left 4 Dead 2 (For playing with friends)

This is the Stronghold Series which I can vouch for as being an awesome RTS series. There are two packs:

 

• Stronghold 1 & 2 (Main game) + Stronghold Legends (King Arthur, etc.) + Stronghold Crusader & Stronghold Crusader Extreme (Set during the Crusades.) This pack is $19.99
• The pack above + Stronghold 3. This pack is $49.99

Perspective is a short puzzle platformer with puzzles to match portal IMO: http://www.seewithperspective.com/ short but really worth it

Zenith is a fast paced free running/rollerblading game that's open world and awesome: http://zinethgame.tumblr.com/ I spent wayy too much time just going fast in this game. i also got to the moon.

Warframe is a 4player co-op game and pretty fun though it has some problems https://warframe.com/ (IMO didn't really like it but others love it) search it in steam

Broforce is a fun game 2d destrucible environements and local Co-op http://www.freelives...OFORCE_WEB.html (best with friends)

MechWarrior Online is awesome as well http://mwomercs.com/ (get a group and travel in a pack)

Nitronic Rush for a fun arcade racing game. http://nitronic-rush.com/ (again not very long but worth it)

Realm Of the Mad God is a MMORPG that's really fun and kinda competitive. http://www.realmofthemadgod.com/ or on steam

 

I highly recommend anyone try out any of the games i mentioned.
