Hi Yall Would This Work ?

Diozark

Hello everyone, Would this work, Windows 8.1 or maybe SteamOS ?

Looking to Play Steam Games The Hunter Primal mostly.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WTn7Hx

Just trying to learn how to build a Very Inexpensive Gaming PC, with Ultra Settings.

Would The GPU be doing most of the work?

Thank You

Diozark

That processor would be a huge bottleneck to a 290, I'd recommend upgrading the CPU to something like the Pentium g3258 or AMD FX 6300 and stepping the GPU down a bit, also what case are you using because that PSU is ITX not ATX so it might not fit.

My Build

 - i5 4670k @ 4.4GHz - MSI z87m Mobo - 16Gb 1866MHz RAM - MSI R9 290 - Samsung 840 EVO 250Gb - 2 x 1Tb WD Blue - CX600m - H55 AIO cooler - Fractal Node 804 - Lg 25um64-s Ultrawide screen monitor -  http://pcpartpicker.com/user/colec18/saved/9FKXsY

you dont pare AM1 chips with graphics card worth more than 70~~~120 dollars...... you just...... dont. x'D

g3258 and a R9 280/x or 285, do that.

sorry but no. Your cpu is weak sauce compared to gpu is will bottleneck it. Also dont get a ssd for a budget build. To play aaa games on ultra you would want a 8320 or similar amd side or a intel i5. For a budget gaming rig look at a intel i3 or amd 6300 cpu with a 750ti,260x,270,270x gpu. I feel like you should save more if you want new parts. You will be able to get second hand parts for cheaper.

Inexpensive or Ultra settings pick one and forget the other.

Also that CPU would bottleneck a 290 so hard I would be surprised if you got 40% of the potential performance of the card.
