Can a 6850 run on 430watt

I can confirm that this can, I myself run a 6850, and before I changed my motherboard and CPU, I was running it off a 450w PSU.

I was wondering if a 6850 could run on a 430watt thermaltake psu?

Fyi, the 6850 can comfortably run on a cx430.

It's an poorly design PSU that can't deliver more than 350w from HEC / Compucase. While you may be able to power it, I would suggest putting some money aside getting a proper, quality unit.

I have the PSU running in a secondary set up, and I want to free the ram up in it (using standard HD graphics) just wondering if it would run, and with some gaming

So you're buying a 6850?

My friend has an old 6850 laying around and said if I wanted it I could have it. What I am saying is because the Intels HD graphics that come on ten CPU use the system memory, it tends to peak a lot and I'm am thinking of buying the 6850 do that it doesn't cut into the system memory, and also allow for some gaming...

Yes, 430W will be enough to run a 6850 but you are pretty much at the edge.

the card uses 95W in load. its nothing for a decent 400W unit

Worse comes to worse, that same mate has a 520w Antec gamer series psu! haha
