browser hijacker removed still coming up in scans

SAV1OUR
Go to solution Solved by Prastupok,

so i'v dealt with trovi many times before on multiple computers it's finally managed to install itself on my computer (AVG is spreading it through the install so i urge you not to use it). Anyway i'v removed it from my google secure pref file and my google settings but when i scan my pc with malwarebyte's it still comes up.

Anyone know how to permanently remove it? it's currently sitting in quarantine because malwarebyte's cant remove it for some reason.

Select scan for rootkits in your settings, and scan again.

Try common sense anti virus!1! /s On a more serious note see if you can find the folder it keeps either reinstalling in or that Malwarebytes can't remove it from. That way you only have to tell it to scan that folder on subsequent attempts at removing it. Can try booting into safe mode and seeing if Malwarebytes can remove it then or Bitdefender free 30 day trial is pretty good at removing stubborn infections. EDIT I should also note Bitdefender is hostile towards other installed anti viruses. If you have a paid anti virus.
