They scam you by selling an overpriced POS with coloured lights because kids don't know how to read specs sheets.

alienware is not bad per se, but its hell overpriced and badly advertised. ex: Dual SLI GTX 980 8gb of VRAM! no its not 8gb of vram. vram dont stack like that.

and you can build your own pc with the same spec at least 500$ cheaper than what Alienware/Origin/Falcon Northwest/anyotherprebuild sells.

oh but are you talking about gaming laptop? I'd look at Asus or Msi for a good gaming laptop.

may your framerates be high and your temperatures be low. #pcmr

Most of the hate is over the desktop line up. I think you'll come to the same conclusion quickly once viewing this.

Unless you think $1,800 for a gaming PC with only 760 TI is right...

wow what a scam!!

My take on dell/alienware is pretty simple. Any component on the spec sheet is usually quality, and exactly what you expect to get with a little bit of a markup......Anything not on the spec sheet is going to be the cheapest, most broken down piece of crap in human existence, at a massive markup. Add in the fact that the person building the computer doesn't stop to think. "Wait I'm sticking two r9 290's in this, will I need to upgrade this 500W power supply?"

For example the keyboard no one knows anything about it except it has lights under it.

sorry http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TKHvCJI think it is because of the perentheses now try.

i heard the G1 Gaming GTX 980 OC's better than the Strix. if the price difference is too much, the Strix is pretty good card none the less.

I am here to help! (Look at my member title) The one I got wasn't a bad deal for 1000 bucks. (Originally 1,200 without student discount, specs in profile) But I think the ones now are overpriced (Not just AW, cyberpowerPC too) But for laptops, they shouldn't be too bad, be sure to look at other retailers tho before making a decision.

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!
