hey there i'm a noob here i was thinking if a sound card would give me better sound? and if so what sound card would you suggest?

Propbably not, onboard audio on todays motherboards is more than good enough, save your money mate

If you don't hear anything wrong (including not enough volume) then an upgrade will do nothing.

It does ever so slightly. If you really have absolutely nothing to upgrade in your computer anymore then go for it. The better software of soundcards is always better, but spend your money elsewhere if you are on a tight budget.
