Ya know, you might just try some lower voltages. Some cards aren't taking the extra voltage very well. One of my 970s works great running 1.275, and the other hates anything above 1.262. Try some different settings and see what works best for your card.

1.275 is the best for my GPU, 1.3 somehow losses score even with extra core clock. Only thing that could help me right now is cooling the memory IC's on the back :/ . I whish G1 had all of IC's on the front under the cooler.

Probably adds a little instability at that voltage.  I can go up to 1.312v in the bios, but nothing above 1.275v does anything.  No increase in temps, no increase in clock stability, no increased TDP or power usage.  I'm thinking the ACX 2.0 cards are locked at 1.275.  Maybe....

I can get the same overclock on my G1 at 1.262v as I can with 1.275v or 1.300v

1650mhz on the core & 2053mhz on the Samsung memory. Stable in a run through Valley & Firestrike.

Hi, can you make a custom BIOS for me please? You said you would as I really am not sure how to do this and I don't want to damage my card. Please make one for EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0. I would like a +50mV allownace and 140% Power target please. And can you disable boost clocks? they annoy me, I'd like to enter +100 on the 1317MHz and get 1417 and not 1466 because boost is 1366  (reference number 04G-P4-2974-KR

If you need my original BIOS tell me I'll link a dropbox thing for you. Dunno why it's in bold now... :D

Thanks in advance

Would love to see custom BIOS for STRIX and not only for G1. :( My STRIX seems to OC nicely... Hiting that 1500 boost clock. :/

It's been said many times, STRIX is not capable of more than stock voltage, it's hardware locked.

Yeah but it still could disable the annoying boost thing... That's pretty much what I would love to get. :D

It's simple, follow this guide: http://www.overclock.net/t/1522651/disable-boost-and-bake-in-max-game-stable-clocks-for-maxwell

Bios's made here ( this topic ) are for extra voltage and TDP.

I COULD lock clocks like that but its pointless, AB does the math for you.

Is the GTX 970 form EVGA hardware locked as well? I am really out of luck if it is I only managed 1446 MHz or so...

No, but some models can reach perfcap limit and can be limited by that. If you are limited by perfcap, then you can use this guide http://overclocking.guide/increase-the-nvidia-power-limit-all-cards/ .

Which bios fixes the G1 Gaming's fans during start up? The fans on my GTX 970 are really getting irritating during start up and I'll also need to mod the bios for 0rpm fan mode as I'm finding the card audible over everything else in my computer.

I'm finding it kind of odd that Gigabyte acknowledges that the BIOS on graphics cards by them need updating to improve certain aspects of them, but they don't have their own dedicated tool for updating graphics card BIOS.

Do you guys recommend 970sli? Ive seen it matching 980ti and in some cases, Titan X performance. Without spending 650$/1000$ on one full load

980ti would be better. There are games that don't support SLI and there will be micro stutter in some games.

I don't think so. 980ti is a better choice.

You can raise the power limits, but you won't be able to get more voltage out of it.  So, if you are running GPUz during your highest overclock testing, and not seeing green in the perf cap line on the sensors tab, then yes....you're at the limit you're gonna get.  If you DO see green in the perf cap reason line, then raising the power limits will help.
