What brand have you bought from before? Did you have issues with them? If not, buy from that brand.

If you actually want my opinion, pick one of EVGA's. They have excellent customer service and are flexible about their warranty.

Yeah I don't understand their IO logic (and other design choices) sometimes.

You should stick with MSI if you've had no issues with them yet.

It bothers me that they took out some of the features but the cooler looks REALY good and the still may be a good brand

EVGA? When have they been a bad brand?

Not giving the gtx 980 triple display port and making the ability to have the backplate expensive

Oh. That doesn't mean they're a bad brand, mate. Lol.

And the backplate is just $20.

Neither in my opinion, an R9 295x2 would be a much better choice. If it's above your budget 2 R9 290Xs will be just as good for cheaper than a single 980. 980s are not a good choice at the moment due to the absurdly high price. If you want to stick with nvidia get 2 970s but they'll be more expensive.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
