GTX 660

A friend is selling a rarely used GTX 660 reference card. His selling it at $125.00 is this a good deal?

the reference look and that cooler? need your inputs regarding this matter and im also thinking of picking up a brand new amd r7 260x at $143.00

Either of the two is ok for me, just need your inputs which one is worth my buck.

The GTX 660 is still a good card but I'm not sure if that price is good imo. Try and knock him down a little more.

I am currently doing some research on (cheap) used parts and I'm currently looking at 2 GTX 660's.

One from MSI for 80 euros and one from Gigabyte for 90 euros.

 

So 125 dollars seems a bit steep..

My friend also sold his 660 Ti (little bit better than a 660) for ~100 euros.

 

Not sure if the reference design is more sought after or even any good, but it seems a bit of a high price.

Gtx 660 is slightly slower than an r9 270. In terms of performance its similar to an r7 265. Try and get him to knock the price down a bit more. I personally wouldn't buy it, if it costs more than 110$.

You can get a newer, better card for cheaper. Tell him to knock it down to 80, 90 at most.

If it's and EVGA one, just say no. I had nothing but trouble with my EVGA FTW edition, even had it RMA'd and it still had nothing but problems.
