I have an old laptop, I have removed the 2.5 inch HDD bought a Orico 2.5" USB 3.0 enclosure. Now my question is the HDD still has my old OS in it. Can I just plug and play on my gaming pc and access the movies that I want to salvage in there before formatting the drive? The laptop won't boot anymore I hope I can still recover my files after that I can reformat the hard drive. I'm thinking about plugging it into a pc without an existing OS and see if it works that way?

Will my mobo recognize the i3-6100 once the BIOS is updated? Do I have to do this with the skylake procie or kabylake procie installed?

Hello guys, Just a heads up, I don't have any experiences in updating my BIOS. This would be a first and last attempt. I have a Gigabyte G1.Sniper B7 with an Intel Core i3-6100, and I just bought an i7-7700. Can someone walk me through or guide me on how to step by step process updating my Skylake mobo to Kabylake? I did check Gigabyte's support on the website doesn't help that much. I know I have to download the latest BIOS version and that's it. Any ideas what I need to prep or do? Do I have to clean install windows afterward? Do I have to make a restore point for my skylake BIOS just in case a mess up things? I really want to install my new Kablylake processor. Any help is appreciated

How are you going about the room temps?, Airconditioning perhaps? Here in Cebu during summer its 32-34 degrees celsius outside the house, my pc gets a 55-60'Celsius while on gaming load during the afternoon my room is not airconditioned yet.
