BUDGET GAMING RIG HELPPP

ezhereb

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ryLFyc

This is my gaming rig that I'm planning to buy. I just need clarification on the parts to make sure they are good. Don't mind the PSU I already have one. All I need is the rig to play bf4 at max settings with good fps. Thanks

The gtx970 will bottleneck in most cases so keep that in mind. The rest looks good but I would replace that ssd with a crucial if possible.

Changed a couple things. Got a Samsung SSD (much better) and put in an i5 and a great mobo. This will wreck the 6350.

What would you recommend as a gpu?

I would stick with a 970 and get an i5 instead of the AMD.

Personally if you are on a budget then intel is still the way to go, pick up an i3 right now and the cheapst z97 mobo you can find, then upgrade to an i5 at a later date when you can afford it. IN gaming performance 9/10 times the i3 will rape the fx 6350. Other than that good buil and try and get an ssd if you can :)

Won't it be better to get an unlocked version of that CPU?

If you get the unlocked i5, which is the 4690K, then you also need a Z97 board to overclock it. It'd be a ~$125 price increase on the build and isnt necessary, no. The 4440 is a great performer.

An H97 or B85 will be the best for non overclocking and the i5-4690 or 4590 would be great, too.
