Go to solution Solved by harrynowl,

The only real benches i know are the ones on anadatech bench,

maybe ill run my own at some point, but I don't have a 270x (my 7870 ghz edition was sent back :()

anyway I've kind of derailed the thread at this point and never answered ops question :/

yes op it is a good pc for a spare part job :)

unless of course you also have gtx980s and 5960xs lying under your bed :)

I was wondering if this would be a decent gaming rig to build.

I have the parts laying around I want to know if it would be good.

If you already have the parts, then it's decent.

A 6950 is....like a 260x (performance-wise -- i think)

Very good indeed

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

Yeah, if these are just spare parts, it'll definitely hold up its own on a lot of games. Of course, not all. And not without its kinks.

Build it~

270x from my experience, and if you can overclock it and unlock it to a 6970 then it's above 270x but not 280... maybe 760 ish?

Those 6970 tests are probably on a much older driver version though as they don't re-run their test suite.

Although it's probably a 270, 270x is a bit generous considering it has a 200mhz clock advantage on 270.

Well obviosuly there is better but this is definatly not a horrible computer. TBH this will be able to run better games than my current Pc (Not the pc listed below i havent gotten that one yet, but the one im using right now) so you should be able to run a decent amout of games on low to medium depending on what game it is

I know. And a overclocked 6970 performs like a 7870GHz edition/270X :)

love that 45 nanometer sexyness. <3

because it would run hot AF unless it has a decent cooler on it. :/

my 6950 (unlocked to 6970) is on the stock cooler and overclocking it was the difference between 73c and 76c :/
