After the the years of playing games on Windows, I've come to the realisation that a lot of Windows gamers that play online and write in the chat are immature, childish, annoying and offensive pricks.

I'm sure that there are other games out there on Windows that has a relatively mature playerbase, but CS:GO is absolutely terrible in this regard. I usually play competitive without any friends with me, and almost all I see in the chat are insults and the word "noob". I'm not saying that most gamers are like this, all I'm saying is that from my experience, many gamers who like to write or talk in chat are incredibly immature.

PCMR has since long ago talked about how Windows gamers are more mature, but I disagree with that. I'm sick of it all. What are your experiences and do you agree?

Well, really.. Every game and platform has mature and immature persons.

The immature and mean ones just yell the loudest.

I do not think people have become less nicer, but I think it's just easier for them to express those feelings (through chat)

Typically the PC gaming community is more mature than that of the Console gaming community.

Now I'm not saying that absolutely all the pc gaming community is mature, I'm saying that it is at least better than consoles.

CS:GO attracts all the pond life, as well as the decent people, so it's to be expected as with any popular online game. But no chat can be as bad as LoL can be sometimes, that just reeks.

When I was grinding and getting up my rank I did notice childishness and kids, but the higher you go the more serious people get and that seems to be the "older kind of community". But if you are anywhere between Silver 1 and Master  Guardian 1 they're all kids.

every game out there has some level of immaturity and u need to remember just because its PC that doesn't mean that there isn't younger children playing on it and also like other people are saying rank does effect that a lot and windows is still the most mature place you can get for gaming tbh

This isn't a problem with PC, it's actually more of general problem with people. We don't want to get the blame and tries to finds fault of others to point out.

As skill, experience and knowledge increases, you'll more likely to admit fault as anything else would just be lying to yourself for no reason.

It's in almost all multiplayer games, you very often see it in team oriented games.

I'm telling the truth! I AM a 12 year old girl!

Have you actually played cod? Everyone in the majority of servers is really mature.

To OP yeh every game has its immature players, but in general PC gamers are way more mature than xbox.

It wasnt when I last played it (Nearing release of ghosts) and I was on PS3, most of the time it was horrible. (Black ops 2 and earlier)

Well there you go, you were on PS3...Try playing COD4 or blackops on PC. A lot of servers will ban you for insulting people.

Having been Silver 3 - MG2 and having played with up to LEMs this is 100% true. Anything below about Nova 1 is a bunch of kids most of the time. I'd say around Nova 2+ people are quite nice, and once you get past DMG people think their shit doesn't stink and it gets kind of cancery again.

I found this with CS:GO the community can be quite a poisonous place when playing competitive, being fairly new to playing CS in any form I dont often do things the way they would like and oh my do they like to abuse you for it. I really like the game too so its a shame some people forget that is a game and there life isnt over if their team doesn't win.
