Phanteks Enthoo Pro, NZXT H440, or Corsair Air 540?

rambi36

Hello. Boy has it been a long time since I've posted around here lol. I am thinking about swapping out my Fractal Design define R4 case(because I'm getting bored with it and want an excuse to get a new case) for either an NZXT H440(black and blue version) or Phanteks Enthoo Pro or Corsair Air 540. It's going to be housing the system in my signature with the edition of(most likely, not 100% yet) a Cryorig R1 Ultimate. What do you think I should go with? I want the case to be decent in terms of airflow and good in the silent department too.

Get an Enthoo Pro, so we can be R1 Ultimate buddies and Enthoo Pro buddies :D

Seriously though, both the Enthoo and the Cryorig are great products. Go for both of them. You won't regret it  :)

But it's so much prettier. It looks better than the little box of lost hopes they call an Enthoo Pro.

None. If you are considering the Air 540, let me offer (what I think) is the better alternative.

$169.99

Better water cooling options, better drive mounting options, better optical drive options...nuff said.

Corsair Air 540 by a lot.

It is for me the best pick due to its overall features and dual chamber design that I like so much...

But for me regarding cases, is like picking a girl in high school, you may look at many, like several, feel strongly about a couple, but you already know which one you want to date... Because that one has that little "je ne sais quoi"... So you may ask your friend(s) for advice, but you know what you want...

Edit:

I do want to add that the Air 540 does lack in 3.5 mounting point as it only have 2 natively. You can have up to 3 more if you sacrifice your 2 x 5.25 bays and buy a $30 add on gadget. But it does comes with 4 2.5 inch drive cage. It comes down to your config and commitment to what it has and what you are looking for and want. It has a ton of room and 3 x AirFlow 140 mm fans, some editions even have LED ones. Beautiful big side window for all the sexy parts also. It's a beauty...

Isn't the air 540 like...$15 cheaper?

Edit: oh it's $25 cheaper. worth it in my opinion for the better drive mounts and dust filtering options. Don't get me wrong, my air 540 is great, but the thermaltake is better. It's what corsair should have done.

The Corsair Air 540 has good watercooling options, albeit not as good as the Enthoo Pro/Luxe, but it's not absurdly gigantic like the Pro, the Define R5 is a good choice as well, but as you said, you are already bored of that case. The NZXT H440 is a good case, but it's not really competitive in the case market today.

Thank you guys for all of your responses. At this point it's between the Air 540 and Enthoo Pro. The only thing that's stopping me from buying the Air 540 is Dust filters and the cubey look of it

You are right about the filters. But someone thought of that and solved the issue in exchange for money:

http://www.demcifilter.com/c198/Air-540.aspx

If you want to see it, go here:

Not in English but you get to see how all the filters look in the case.
