Holy f*cking shit..

I don't even know where to start. i'm SO upset.

Here's the story:

Sunday last week i ordered a Dell U3415W for 714,56€ (+40€ Shipping for no reason at all) aswell as a 14,67€ Steelseries QCK+ Mousepad.

All in all that's 774,23€, which i transfered to them.

Turns out though, that some asshat ordered the LAST u3415w just a few seconds before i did and that they won't have a
new one in stock for at least 3 weeks.
So i said f*ck it, i'll cancel my order because i needed the monitor by this upcoming *long* weekend.

But at that time, they already sent out the mousepad seperately, which in itself isnt a bad thing. But for some weird ass f*cking reason these b*tches calculated the 40€ shipping on that mousepad and 0€ shipping for the monitor.

As i then cancelled my order for the monitor i today finally got my cache back. But wait! I only got the 714,56€ for the monitor and NOT the other 40€ shipping, even though i particularly mentioned the shipping cost in my cancellation mail.

I hope i get the rest of my money back or i just wasted almost 60€ on a 15€ mousepad. yay.

Moral of the story:
Never buy hardware in germany, as almost all of our retailers SUCK. Either at pricing, shipping, availability or service.

I can only approve of the bad costumer service in Germany, The only stores with nice people are Amazon and ARLT, those guys are great.

Exactly lol

caseking or alternate? :P

Amazon ftw

German Amazon AND Caseking are both overpriced. I don't have many experiences with alternate though.

Example: the U3415W was 100€ more on Amazon and not even available at Caseking!

Germans would say "Läuft bei mir..."

mindfactory has the most gheddo site ever, for that reason alone I wouldn't shop there :D caseking and alternate are pretty straight forward imo.

No love to hardwareversand.de? :P Sometimes buying from anobo even when they are a dissaster with shippingtime. Caseking is really "king" in germany :P Their support is like magical donuts in a roof. 10/10 :D

Du überweist so eine Summe im voraus, bezahlst 40€ Porto und beschwerst dich dann noch?

Sorry but we need translation to that. This is english forum afterall.

On topic, I've had only positive experience from ordering German e-tailer. That was Alternate.de (I hear .at gets bad experiences). Only thing I would complain is the paying methods. 60€ extra for bank transfer made the whole thing cost just bit less than it would have been from ordering it from local store. Shipping cost was what I would expect and it was really fast, 3 days DHL.

i always use mindfactory and never had any problems. also who in his right mind would pay for shipping at mindfactory they have midnight shopping. and they are often the cheapest retailer.

caseking has good service but they are so expensiv. and amazons prices are often even more insane.

Those were just examples, you could order from the UK too. Shipping inside the EU is relatively cheap, and it's likely that if an item is not in amazon.de it will be in at least one of its other european counterparts, just like germany has some things that are not available elsewhere in europe.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Basically asked him why he is whining. He sent a large amount of money in advance and knowingly paid 40€ for shipping, when he could have picked up his stuff in person for that amount of money.

I don't really play many games for gameplay anymore honestly. I play most games just for the graphics.

Midnight shopping doesnt work with bulky goods (monitors and TVs over 32")

oh mr. Genius sir. Driving 800km to pick it up in their store and then driving 800km back is WAY cheaper than 40€ shipping. NOT.

Also, i check every store and there is none where i couldve got it cheaper even with the 40€ shipping.
