Not really sure where to post this topic. Tell me if I'm in the wrong forum area. Moving on, as you saw in the title I'm looking for the best smartwatch for an iPhone (don't hate on me for having an iPhone, it wasn't my choice). I am not looking for a cheap smartwatch. I want a good one. So far the only good smartwatches I have been able to find have been the pebble and pebble steal. If there are any better ones please tell me. Again sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

Wrong section, it should be in Mobile, but don't worry about it @seaworthyPACMAN . Btw, please follow your topics :)

If you want something that looks good you are pretty much tied to either the pebble steel or the LG watch. Although personally i'd go for the standar pebble because of price and battery life.

-edit-

actually the LG G watch is not compatible with ios so scratch that.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Both the G Watch and G Watch R are incompatible with anything that isn't Android, so they're out of the running.

Honestly, smart watches are in their infancy. I would wait a while and see how they progress as more manufacturers do more development on them.

However, as Sauron and TheSLSAMG stated, Pebble and Apple Watch are the two to look out for until 3rd party devs are able to release compatible products. That's assuming Apple opens it up for 3rd party devs.

The projects never end in my line of work.

The WatchKit APIs are going to be available (might already be?) so we will see standalone apps on the watch soon enough.

Right now, the Pebble if you want a proper smart watch that does notifications well and lasts a while. Nothing else really makes sense on either platform. You have your "fitness" bands that handle basic notifications and fitness abilities AND look like normal watches, but they aren't really "smart". I have a Fitbit Surge right now and while I love it, I'm waiting for Apple to reveal something similarly priced and normal (enough) looking before committing to anything just yet.

I don't mean standalone apps, I mean 3rd party hardware compatible with iOS

Pebble, Microsoft Band, Fuelband, Fitbit...I'm sure there are others.

Fitness watches aren't the same as a true smartwatch. I already acknowledged pebble.

Fitbits have other features. Pebbles do fitness tracking. They're all wrist wearables. Honestly the Apple Watch will be in a different category so if you don't want what's out right now wait for it.

In this category I believe OP meant something in line with the iWatch, the G Watch, Moto 360, Gear, etc.

There aren't a lot of those that are iOS compatible. I named the few that are. Withings Activité also comes to mind.

And it's Watch, not iWatch.
