Cant install Age of Empires 3

I put the disk in and put the CD key in and it stop working half way threw with error code 1603 so i tryed to install it again but it didnt ask me for the cd key and it gives me the same error code every time... how do i install it?

 

Desktop: CPU: I7-5820K GPU: 980Ti, 750Ti PhysX Mobo: MSI X99A SLI PLUS RAM: 4x4 Kingston DDR4 2400MHz OS: Win10
Storage: 250GB Samsung Evo, 3TB WD Black and Green FIRESTRIKE, Reason for dedicated PhysX Card.

Peripherals: Screen: 3x BenQ VZ2350 Mouse: Razer Naga Keyboard: Some Dell Thing Sound: Razer Tiamat, 5.1 Logitech Surround Speakers

1. Don't.

2. Play AoE2.

I agree. In my opinion, AoE2 was far better in nearly every way. :)

xD would play the old ones but was lucky enough to find 3 laying around in my house with all 3 disk's and cd still there xD

Could be your optical drive.

Maybe clean the disk?

I did the test and got a file error

I fixed it, i downloaded a pirated copy and installed the first disk just from the pirated copy but used my cd key and the rest of the disks from my case... i think there must be a problem with my first disk.

@matto97 I had the same problem with mine. Downloaded the iso and put my key in. Best way IMO. Can't beat a good game of AOE 3 though.

used to love AoE, wasted more hours on that game (AoE2) than I care to mention - glad you got the issue solved ... happy gaming
