will this audio setup with a Raspberry pi work?

2 put card in pi

3 hook up geekout 450 amp to pie

4 hook up WiFi to pi for Pandora

5 hook up wireless keyboard to pi

6 connect pi to monitor

7 Power on pi

8 listen to SD card or pandora

you'll need linux to access the file structure to put music on the sd card

 

it should work, just don't expect it to be plug and play, and expect pandora on a cli not a webpage.

Could you technically use it and vlcs network functions to use the pi as a remote controller? And skip the local data and play over a network?

vlc runs terrible on a pi 1, much better off running xbmc.
