So, balloting just started for sophomore year of high school, and there are two history choices: either CP World History, or AP Euro. I hear CP World History is like, super easy, but the pace they go at is so slow that if you take it, you're gonna bore yourself to death in that class. But if I take AP Euro, it's the total opposite. A lot of work, a lot of writing, a lot of testing, and overall very challenging. I hear from seniors that it was the hardest class they ever took. Look, I don't know what to take. I wanna take CP purely because there's less work to do, but it's a slow class. On the other hand, I need a challenge, so I wanna take Euro, but the amount of work needed seems a bit cringeworthy. I'm really stuck, guys.

I'm taking the risk and loading up on all AP & Pre-AP classes for my Junior year. In your situation, take AP Euro and if it's too hard, you can go down to your other class right?

What would you have to do at both?
Choose the one you think will be more useful later in life and which one is more fun for you to do

I think I might be able to switch out, but that's very slim.

I took AP Euro when I was a sophomore lol.

Anyway, I recommend AP Euro only because it's more relevant to modern times (hence, more useful).

OK, that might be a factor.

A lot of writing, mostly in the form of free response questions, which are usually like 5 paragraphs long, plus a document based question, also at least 5 or so paragraphs. on the AP test i have to do 2 of those FRQs and a DBQ in the time the testgivers give us.

I've always found harder and more interesting class better than easy and boring one. my A-level exams were VERY hard, but it was very satisfying and rewarding. Heck, it was even fun to suffer with your friends. :P

That is true. Suffering with friends is better than suffering alone.

I took AP Comparative Politics and loved it. Either way, I loaded up on the AP courses and started college as a Sophomore :D

APCP I took as a sophomore in HS. But for college I had a year's worth of units (30) already done becuase of the AP courses I took in HS.

Oh, yeah, i need to rack up as many AP classes as I can so I can save money by not having to take these classes. Because these AP classes are essentially college level classes in HS.

No, AP classes are NOT college-level classes by any means. Sure, you can get credit for those classes, but they are not the same.

I guess I 've made up my mind. I"m going for Euro. Sure, it's challenging, but beats being bored to death. Besides, I have till July 1st to change my mind.
