Is it possible to have a stable 5.0GHz overclock without using any liquid gases such as nitrogen or helium and stuff.

FX 8320/6300 can get 5 GHZ on air lol.

Any videos of it?

Yes but the chip won't last as long and it will generate a crap ton of heat so your better off on liquid.

that ghz does not make a chip degrade, the crazy voltage needed to hit 5ghz would be what degrades it.

Yes, though it really depends on both the skill/knowledge of the overclocker and (most importantly) the luck of getting a CPU that will actually be stable at a high clockspeed.

For instance, my 4770K only will hang around 4.2-4.3 Ghz, while others have a 4770K that will do over 5.0. Most Haswell CPUs in the wild seem to be stable in the 4.2-4.6 Ghz range on room-temperature cooling.

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

Yea i know that but nobody gets a chip to 5Ghz without added voltage and heat.

It's a luck based thing but I've seen of 4790ks and 4770ks Fx8320/50s hit it on air  and even 5960Xs hit it on basic Watercooling AIOs in my experience OCs are less luck based with FXs because AMDs been cranking them out for 3-4 years now they know how to make them properly xD Everytime intel gets to the point of consistently good binning they make a new CPU (EG Ivy was just getting great at OCing when haswell was released then Devils canyon)
