if you have the money, get a 780. make sure to get a balanced build to avoid bottlenecks.

I'd be surprised if anyone says 7970 over 780, for gaming at least.

well i spend ona new computer liek 1700-1800 euro thats much so i cnat buy 2x 780:( well 1 enough;D

Reference GTX 780 is $650

 

2x HD 7970 in Crossfire = $619.96 still cheaper then GTX 780 and Faster.

Looks like Performance/Cost wise 7970 Crossfire is better then GTX 780.
