Haswell-E just has a DDR4 memory controller as far as key differences go, and no integrated graphics.

 

Otherwise just more cores and cache.

Haswell-E = LGA 2011-3

Well, Haswell is the architecture, refresh and -E are just different iterations of it. 

 

Haswell-R was updated with some power, heat and performance improvements, along with the Z97 chipset. Haswell-E is the enthusiast platform. They have more cores (6 and 8) and other performance improvements, as well as being the first consumer platform to get some new technologies (most of which average users don't use). They use the 2011-3 socket and X99 chipset.
