This is effectively spam but, just to upset some people...

 

AMD FX / FM2 CPU with anything better than R9 270X or GTX760.

I have FX 6300 with GTX 770, oh snap, i have bottleneck rig, tho  i have no issues running BF4 Ultra settings with AA off at over 60 fps.

i know a obscure build that a user here has

9590 on some 4+1 biostar board, 3GB of mismatched ram, 32GB SSD, GTX 480

think he has the best BBQ in his town with that PC.

mine is in the sig. will get liquid cooling, set it up to 4.7 ghz and maybe it will not bottleneck

There was a guy on build a pc with a 290 and a i3.

It didnt bottleneck as much as i thought.

FPS isn't everything, let him tell you about his frame time and show you the 95th percentile.

Minimum FPS were over 30.

No idea about frametime.

Good very good, tried to convince someone that you should pair a GPU better than 760 with G3258 and he told me not even R9 290X would bottleneck, I told him that FPS isn't everything and I heard nothing from him after that.

G3258 -> up untill 270x.

i3 -> up untill 280x.

i5 (locked) -> up untill 970 maybe 980.

i5(unlocked) -> Whatever you want really.

also it's impossible to benchmark BF4 in a multiplayer environment unless you have 63 friends willing to help you and doing the same things over and over again with like the 60 or so CPU they've tested...i'm sorry but this benchmarking is just plain impossible to do it would have to be done by an army of robots and would take days.

This^ you can't really benchmark a multi player game because of all the different variables etc.

I was using an Intel Q6600 2.4GHz, 4GB of DDR2 RAM and a GTX 560. In BF3 I could barely get 45 fps on low settings. Upgrade to a 4690K and I was getting well over 100 fps lol. The bottleneck was real.

Really you could play at 4K with a Pentium and a GTX 980 if you wanted. You'd get the same fps as playing with a Pentium and R7 260X at 1080P lol

Really you could play at 4K with a Pentium and a GTX 980 if you wanted. You'd get the same fps as playing with a Pentium and R7 260X at 1080P lol

 

Im talking about 1080p.

 

Try a pentium with a 980 at 1080p ;)

Yeah... high framerate, lighting and physics are what put the strain on the CPU. Just saying that res is a factor :)

It sure is better but I might not be able to plug my 3 monitors in my motherboard without buying adapters and I need one more month to get a 970
