Yoinks.

Go to solution Solved by LinusTech,

I'm fine.

Notice anything about those Twitter comments? Almost 200 retweets and over 1000 favourites between them.

Either after all these years I finally cracked and I'm crying myself to sleep at night because someone criticized me on the Internet... OOOOOORRR I read something I thought was funny and/or needed to be addressed and did it in a way that achieves that while also resonating with my followers.

As for the quality of the content (in particular that intro) I think it's better than ever. You say you've been watching for a long time, but have you been watching for 6 years? Cuz here's something WAY more cringe I did 6 years ago:

As far as looking tired/stressed is concerned, I AM tired and stressed. I have a 5 month old infant at home, my company is moving in a couple months, and my team is growing at a rate I can hardly control. Are all of these things stressors, absolutely. Do they all make me happy and motivate me to keep pushing, absolutely. A healthy family and a booming business is about as first world as problems get and every day I'm thankful I'm not losing sleep over much more serious matters.

So in conclusion. I appreciate your concern, but I'm fine. Don't worry about me :)

ime not having a go at you, i personally agree that he needs a holiday i just think its upto him i think you should have rephrased it

I did my best but people just still think it's another trash-talk shart post trying to boss him around, so I'm just giving up at this point.

I guess you don't know Linus well enough, the intro on the SD card video was actually a really Linusy thing; he likes goofing around, having a laugh or two in the work environment while being really productive at the same time; he is an easy-going fellow and straight as an arrow when it comes to developing and pushing forward his business.

If any his content improved over the years and shines a lot more now, you have a refined version of LTT right now and I couldn't wish differently. Just like when WoW moved to Cataclysm and then to Pandaria; the game grew, matured and refined itself a lot, and if people was mad and left because there was no more Lich King and the perceived difficulty of not having a wider variety of opportunities was tuned down, well then bad for them as the current player database is crushing the record. (WoW analogy by the dude with the WoW profile picture, who new).

Haha, thanks Linus. I just wanted to put an opinion out there, but that quickly changed, so, thanks.

Also, I don't have a twitter account, so I want to post this here the new intro video clip is nice, but the music that was used was a bit loud, and doesn't really fit, there's too much BOOM behind it. I just wanted to say that here because I don't have a twitter and have no use for it. But I think the new intro video is great, just needs some fine-tuning on the music :)

Uhh... I'm just gonna leave a quick response...

1. If you think Linus' responses to troll comments are him being upset about them.... you don't understand Linus. He responds because he thinks it's funny...

2. If you knew everything we have coming down the pipe, you would probably understand why Linus (and most of the crew, to be completely honest) looks tired. So stay tuned for awesome content throughout 2015.

3. Look at any small business owner. They don't take vacations, they don't take breaks. Their business is their life. Linus Media Group is just barely 2 years old - still in the very early stages of being an established business.

4. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the intro to last night's video, and that you think that some of the videos lately haven't been up to our usual standard. The majority of the community doesn't seem to agree, as our view numbers and engagement totals tell a completely different story (almost 20 million views in the last 28 days, our best month EVER). Not saying you're wrong, just saying that the overall feedback from the community has been overwhelmingly positive.

5. I'm upset and personally offended that you didn't add "I like potato salad" as a response as I really like potato salad. (kidding, except I actually do really like potato salad)

Thanks for your feedback though. We all have amazing jobs simply because of the awesome, engaged, caring community we have here, so... yeah. We always appreciate the feedback.

EDIT: Ninja'd by Mr. TechTips himself...

Sorry I didn't think about potato salad, but don't worry, I still love you. <3 No hard feelings?

Since apparently nobody seems to give a damn and actually read the whole thing, only a few people have. Ignore this post,

Who cares what other people think. Should've kept it.

I removed the post before your replies came in O.o Wasn't directed at you guys, but I removed it, and only then your replies came into my notification box, maybe just a latency issue kinda thingy?
