Opinions on best mechanical keyboard?

Aleks

Currently using the Razer Blackwidow, I am looking for a smaller 87 key keyboard that is slimmer and doesn't take up as much room? What in your opinion is the best keyboard for me?

I've enjoyed all of my keyboards from Ducky that I have owned. They are built incredibly well and the lighting effects on the Shine III are awesome.

Currently I am using Razer's Blackwidow Chroma because I couldn't find the Corsair one that I wanted anywhere. But I was actually pleasantly with Razer's "custom" switches that are in this keyboard because I generally find blues too loud for my liking (and my open headphones).

Ew get it away from me.

I'll have to get that cyst checked out tomorrow.

Asides from that. For the most part if you can find a TKL board with (preferably) PBT keycaps and the switch of your choice and the options you want (you're unlikely to get media keys or anything on a TKL) then buy it.

Make your own, or ask someone to make one for you, that's the best..

May or may not be hard to find custom keyboard producers...

Well, you can always go to WASDkeyboards.com to get a pretty damn customizable one so long as you don't want backlighting.

Do you know what key switch you want? Check the thread in my sig for that.

For 87 keys or TKL, the two best keyboards based on lowest footprint are the Filco MJ2 and Ducky Shine 3 depending on your stabilizer preference.

The filco is a bit aged now. I would recommend a WASDv2 probably, maybe that newer Leopold but it's not sold in the states. The KUL is basically a copy of the WASDv2 from what I've seen but elite keybords has never been on my good side.

What do you mean with elite keywords? I am interested in a KUL board so if you got some info you would like to share.

Elite Keyboards, the company that sells them.
