Right, Well I've got £100 now, As you can tell I'm from England.

I want to purchase a new hard drive as mine has completely failed on me now, makes whining noises and blue screens on me, It also freezes and I've swapped the HDD out to an old 250gb hdd but the storage isn't enough and the hard drive is old and was used on another PC.

I've got two options, We'll call them option A and option B.

Option B:

2TB Western Digital Black Hard Drive - Link here

NO SSD

Option A:

1TB Western Digital Black Hard Drive - Link here

120gb Kingston Solid State Drive - Link here

*Note: I'm willing to loose the 1tb of storage as I've got a 1tb external drive that I use to back up my files onto and I only use around 900gb of storage right now, But if I cleaned this up, I can easily have around 500-600GB of storage. I'm going to move all my films onto a seperate 250gb hard drive I've got lying around from my media PC downstairs.*

I've heard that SSD's and HDD's work like bread and posted down below and you can also add some comments and suggestions here as well.

- Budget: £100 - I only have £100 to spend right now and I want to have a new hard drive in like a week or so.

Thanks in advance to anyone who comments on this topic.

what's your priority here ? if you wanna store data in a hurry get a 2 TB HDD , if not get a 1 TB + SSD , keep in mind , after installing Windows 7+SP1 Updates and Adobe suites or another important stuffs, you will not have any space in that 120 gigs SSD, you will suffer when you have no idea what to uninstall as you need all the programs you have currently installed, so it's a balancing issue , if you are just a casual user get an 1 TB+ 120 SSD

Option B, 1 TB is enough room IMHO. And SSD's are awesome.

Get a Crucial MX100 drive though, those things are good

I'll check them all out. I'd prefer to order them all of the same website - IE Amazon as I have prime. Fast delivery.

Thanks for all your replies :D

BTW, I'll have Windows 8.1 fresh install with photoshop, after effects, dreamweaver and office for school work.

Games will go on the HDD.
