still not worth it.. unless you ABSOLUTELY LOVE assassins creed, honestly even if the game had no bugs, I dont think its a great entry in the franchise, its frankly quite boring

I spent $21 and it runs fine on a 680 2gb card, either I'm not seeing the lag or I'm crazy.

At this point Assassin's Creed is more stale than any other franchise out there. So even if it didn't run like total shit, and even if it was free, it's still probably not worth your time.

AC4 was a better game overall.

Remember, no Uplay.

I can't tell what you are saying with all of those stars...

was it "Shit Ubifuck"?

xD

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Plenty of hate on the game but none on the unauthorized reseller? Sad times indeed.

-snip-

Just finished downloading the 50GB game and well graphics are pretty damn good and the facial animations during cutscenes are the darn freaking best :D

Performance has been fine so far with everything maxed except AA even on 2x MSAA my performance is crippled. Without AA I think I'm getting between 40/50 - 60 FPS (note that I use a TV so my FPS is locked to a maximum of 60)

Going to try out CCC AA to see if that works better :P

Edit: I have my AA in CCC set to Overide Application settings with 12x EQ Edge Detect Supersampling and frame rate is stable for me so far. Only problem is the occasional shadows popping in and out which needs to be fixed and the game will be almost perfect :)

Edit 2: It seems in-game AA is also controlling shadow quality and reflection qulaity?

Good for you. I get 25-60 on an R9 290 no matter what settings I use. Perhaps it's a CPU bottleneck?

Since they updated the game and gave out a free DLC, I think it is worth it. I can run this game at 1440p, all settings ultra (no AA) at 50-60 fps. That is twice as much as when it came out.

I bought REmake for around the same price.

Much better game.

Let me know when they come out with a naval warfare "DLC."
