edit: okay, well the Win7 kinda throws that off, even if you factor in buying a new PSU this is a better deal than custom if you don't mind the case and need a windows 7 license.

and those people won't want to deal with th potential issues that may arise by putting a discrete gpu in a case and on a psu that did not originally come with one (the psu probably doesn't have the neede connectors), and the case may not have great airflow/room for a (some) high end card(s).

Im sure by the time the gtx 960 comes out, the person who buys this combo will be comfortable opening up the case and putting the gpu in. Besides, the 960 only needs 1 6pin power cable...im sure the psu has a spare or molex>pcie adapters will work.

 

Great airflow? It's probably terrible, but with a gpu that uses so little power, gives off little heat, and should have a blower design...it will be fine.

well I made a custom build for every of my friend and show them how build them. Now they'll build and upgrade their own in the future. People just need to understand it's really not difficult nor expensive

I know building a pc is easy, you know, and now your friends do, but that isn't the point of prebuilts. Why do they still exist? People will always want the least amount of logical thinking and hassle involved with any purchase, so they just buy pre-determined packages being sold that will probably fit their needs.

There is no better ips monitor at this price point of the asus vn2478h-p. It comes with all kinds of cables, IPS, many input ports, speakers, 23.8 in, and has a matte display.

Instead of complaining about how you could make this better, take the hot deal and call it a freakin' deal for others. OF COURSE you can build a better system, and if you can, fantastic, good for you, then this offer is obviously not for you. Some people prefer to buy pre-builts like this one. No it's not perfect, but it is a good deal, so instead of criticizing it, put yourself in a computer illiterate person's shoes and view the offer from that perspective, and you will see that this offer would be pretty decent to those people.

$30 more before rebates, but you're also getting a much better case and psu. Get an equivalent case and psu and it will be the same. 

As for the inputs, HDMI and DVI is still more than enough for any 60hz 1080p panel and certainly wouldn't cause any issues. And onboard speakers...lol, okay, such a terrible reason to pick a monitor. 

 

The issue is it's barely a deal and expandability isn't something I would be too keen on doing in one of Dells OEM cases or on one of their 300w psus.
