"best" $200-$300 pair of headphones?

Just like the tittle says, looking for headphones max $300. I was using a 9h headset but its dead so looking to upgrade to a headset and microphone.

 

Also if you have a mic ideas would be helpful.

 

Any advice would be appreciated =]

Potential idea. I have those headphones and really like them. And you always hear good things about that microphone.

the headphones were one of the options i was looking at, also was looking at dt 880's

Extend your budget a little bit and get fidelio x2, you wont need an amp for it at all compared to dt880 where you might need an amp

Sennheiser Hd 598's and Fiio E11K......well under $300 and awesome sound!

The pads on the K550 are absolutely atrocious. I wouldn't get those unless you're planning on putting different pads on it. AKG K612 with a modmic or modded fostex T50RP with a modmic would be a better choice.
