two 280x is nuts.

running dual 280X in a small case is asking for trouble

 

and the power draw will be high when you OC your GPUs

 

and the 300 series AMD Cards are on the way

 

if you still want to go AMD

 

go for a single 290X and get a bigger case

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

I second AlwaysFSX's comment; get a single 970 and upgrade later.

some of your reccomendations make me wonder if you guys even looked at the parts or just the name I had a color scheme also I was gonna water cool the PC so heat isn't an issue
