Mass Effect 4 Confirmed?!

Knowing me, someone has already posted about this a long time ago on many sites but Amazon has a pre order for Mass Effect 4?

 

Was it even confirmed?

I don't even think ME4 is necessary, ME3 ended it pretty well and if they go for a new trilogy, I'm betting it's going to leave a disgusting taste in my mouth when thinking about ME

That there is going to be a ME4?

 

Already said that in post, wasn't sure if people knew yet.

 

P.S I thought they said there would be another Mass Effect in the series but I don't remember them saying anything about a sequel to 3?

Are you for Real, who fucking cares at this point, Mass Effect is a crappy consul port you should post this on the IGN forums you will get much better response

I love the Mass Effect series. Although ME3 left me sad, I want to see what the future holds for the series. Especially since it means moving away from my beloved Shepard. And if it is all about the Reapers, I wonder how they will make them the enemy again since ME3 pretty much made it so they can't come back?

 

(On an unrelated note...I prefer Dick Grayson over Tim Drake. :P )

Mass Effect is a pretty awesome series and is beautiful to think it was spawned out of Bioware splitting it's team in to two when they earned the rights to a Star Wars game (KOTOR) makes me so thankful for it.

I believe Bioware said that they would be moving away from Shepard and the Reapers. The game will be quite different, I think they're even moving engines! 

Still have to agree I cannot wait to see more from this universe! (I'd love to see the Krogan uprising being the story behind their new game :))

Yes, they did say that, but I did not know they said it about the Reapers as well! Maybe that explains the rumor of not having the title "Mass Effect".

 

A Krogan uprising would mean a war or conflict against them from the other races. I think they have been decimated enough. :(

Ah I had just assumed that included the Reapers. :P The reapers were only really involved in Shepards time (except Protheans, but it's be a shame for them to not use the lore they made in the world they introduced us to), Were you thinking of the war from another pov?? Could be cool :) 

 

True, although I was thinking it could make for some really cool political stuff being added in :)

Yeah it was revealed a while ago, and they will be using the Frostbite 3 engine for it.

The hack whose only credits as a lead writer are Mass Effect 3 (Mac Walters) got PROMOTED to Casey Hudson's job (you aren't scared...you will be...you will be). The lead writer is the guy who wrote the last Halo game...

 

I have zero excitement for this game and I loved Mass Effect, and I even liked ME 2. A Mac Walters production ME4? No thanks. Thanks for the memories Bioware. If they bring Drew Karpyshyn back and fire Mac I will care.

A new Mass Effect has been confirmed, only reason why amazon has that placeholder boxart and title is because there are no official ones.

As other have said, yeah, using the frostbite 3 engine same as DA:I, and as I recall they are using the same tools, with some of the same assets? Considering DA:I weapon/armor customisation it will be interesting to see if the next mass effect has a similar system.

haha, yeah. And having just finished my 100 hour playthrough of DA:I, it looks pretty sweet. Just hope that Mass has better party AI.

I really hope they can create a cohesive, narrative rich, consistently fun experience and not feel the need to jump on to the open world fad.

highly doubt they are going to drag old assets into the frostbite engine. I look forward to seeing the mass effect universe portrayed with new generation graphics.

I think he meant assets from DA. Which would be presumably just Frostbite assets.
