Very specific audio static/crackle sound

brayden099

Hey guys sorry if this has been posted but Im so blind I cant even see where the search bar is.. awkward

So I've had this problem for over a year it first started once I reformated for the first time ever, I thought it would go away when I upgraded 2 weeks ago, (new mobo/cpu)

anyway, the problem is, I can't seem to have 2 different audio sources at once for example some games I cant have the music and sound effects on because the music will crackle at the beginning of any sound effect every single time. This also happens if im playing my own music from pandora or itunes. I should note im using windows 7 64bit and have reinstalled and updated my audio drivers. This is also only ever happens when using my headset which is a USB one, logitech G35.

sound like grounding issues

check your mobo power connections

the audio and USB take power from the 5 volts

If you've completely replaced the motherboard and it still makes the noise, try using a different audio device and double check it's nothing to do with the speakers, phone would do
