Painting SLI bridge?

Hello community!

 

I am soon doing my first watercooling build and going for a color aesthetic, of course.

 

The brown sli bridge does not help me too much and would like to spray paint it White or Black. (Oh yes, I`m going for the storm trooper look)

 

My idea was to isolate the Black connectors as much as I can, so I don`t ruin the connectors, but I saw that some sodering is visible as well... now, what I thought I would do, just so I can isolate everything, was to first put(very carefully, and nicely) Electrical tape on it, so no paint will actually get on the SLI Bridge, just on the tape.

 

Do you guys think this is a good method? Or will I ruin my bridge?

I dont know how its going to look. If you take non conductive paint u will be ok. 

 

Cool build looking forward to end result. 

 

Edit: or buy a black sli bridge. Easier.

you know that you can buy those direct from nvidia for about $30 right?

lol didn't know, weren't they not up for sale unless you got a prebuilt or something like that?

I will search for non conductive spray paint, then :)

 

I did see all the ebay and nvidia bridges, but first I`ll test out the paining! I just want to see how it looks ^.^

If you are looking for non-conductive "paint" try PLASTI-DIP :) I will be using that on my GPUs aswell as my SLI Bridge soon :)
