I don't buy corsair AIOs that are not Asetek based.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

I actually like both approaches to find temp stability.  If you can bury it to the floor on air cool and all is well, good choice.  I find AIO good for SFF  that load varies dramatically.  H110i  is just another option in the  scheme of things.  Custom looping can be a little over the top but sometimes the application demands it.  And then again its just show and go too.  Variety is the spice of life.  Corsair is solid. period.    EOT xx

Lol. Look up the Dwood Bracket, the Red mod, and the Green mod. Then tell me what was originally done. Either way the G10 is like a universal waterblock compared to the HG10 which is a full cover reference waterblock. Both serve different purposes.

Little bit off-topic but i think this is the best place to ask since it's really close looking to the h110i...

Guys, surfing around corsair's website i saw this image in the new 100R page where you can see a cpu cooler that looks like the new h110i but it's just got the tubing connected to the top, not to the side like with all the other coolers..

Are we ever going to see it?? Looks really nice to me...

Well according that you are talking about the whole cooler, neither i do looking at it as it is, but just wait a moment, i mean, the waterblock hasn't got the swiveling mounts so now if anyone wants to build a custom water loop using flexible tubing this is the chance to be a little bit more organized and there's more clearance near the ram.

Also i think there's a pump inside it so the loop is going to have a little less pressure and fan & radiator can still be used for the loop...

SP 140MM fans are a step in the right direction.

In the direction of getting your entire pc to lift off(their SP120L fans are jet-engine-like)

But I get what you mean :P I just hope they arent as horrible as the 120 variant

Agreed. Custom loops aren't really for performance, they are for "I made this, this looks cool". A air cooled Noctua, while huge, will spank most AIO and custom loop setups pretty badly. But that doesn't mean everyone wants (or has space) for such a giant cooler. I myself would LOVE to have the silence of the Noctua coolers, but they are huge and wouldn't really look good, so I have a AIO from Corsair which is still very good and very quiet, but its certainly not in the same league.

Different strokes and all that jazz.

Well and now Noctua is gonna get spanked by this.

its good they released it. but it comes down to cost really. a while back i had an H80, one friend had a H70 and another a H100 we really couldn't see any noticeable difference between them so cant help but think it will be the same here.

its simple product development you wouldn't buy the H110 now being this will at least in theory be better given the price is similar.

What? You realize a blanket statement like that covers all custom loops including high end parts and chillers that beat out anything above ambient?

Seems like you've been watching lga 1150 benchmarks too much. When are people willing to understand that lga1150 isn't about 10000W of cooling capacity? It's more about how well the contact is and how fast you can dissipate heat away from the HSP. X79/X99 is all about cooling capacity, I was managing getting water temps of 55° on a H100i, compared to a 2600K at 5GHz I owned before I never saw the water temp going above 30°.

06095559596l.jpg

For this test;

Only the most effective coolers are capable of making it into the hallowed 4.6GHz club and as you can see in the graph below there isn't a single air cooler in this graph, even the NH-D14 does not have enough cooling potential to be featured here. So all that has made this graph so far are the AIO big players and dedicated custom watercooling kits.

There's nothing like a close race to get your heart pounding and the S36 sure got us worried for a while.  As it is though it romps home with a win.  The real test of the Kelvin series though will come when we look at how the S24 measures up.

Simple comparison between AIO and Air coolers

AIO:

aesthetically pleasing, but has

three points of failure

loud

fans need to be at max RPM to keep up with DUAL TOWER air coolers

I'm missing the 3rd point of failure here. And everything is wrong in here. They don't have to be at max RPM to keep up with a dual aircooler as being proven above, the NH-D15 didn't even make it to the 1.45V testing where as a X60 did it with the fans on silent mode (~1200-1500rpm?). In such scenario's where a NH-D15 has to be at max rpm, a proper 360mm AIO would cool it quite easily way below 1000 rpm so an AIO would be quieter at that point.

Its more AIO in general. But it has to do with me not liking the astetics as opposed to air cooler like Phanteks

1) They took their time.

2) It looks awful. That is one of the ugliest pump/block combos I have ever seen.
