Sennheiser Momentum (On Ear) - Android

Pommy192

Hi,

I'm currently using some Soundmagic E10's and they sound great, but at the time, I didn't need an in line mic as my old phone's headphone jack was a bit flimsy. Now that I have my One M8, an in line mic with playback controls will be very useful traveling on the tram to uni.

I've been looking at the Sennheiser momentum's as they are only £135 and was wondering will the in line mic work on an android device via Poweramp as the mainly aimed at iOS.

Mark.

I've been using them on my HTC ONE for around 2 weeks and I have to say, they are amazing. The Line-In does work however it has piss poor audio quality. The drivers are really meant for on the go music and not phone calls. Having said that, they get the job done.

Alright then, cheers for clearing this up as I want to buy them, then realising I can't take calls or change tracks on it.

Just been into a store here, and they had them on display and able to use with your phone. The only button that worked was the middle play/pause button, the other two did not respond. It stated that it's called an iRemote. I looked up also and there was an app called Jays Headset Control and this made no diffrence either. I read up somewhere that they were working on an android version (a year ago) but I cannot find this anywhere. Bit of a bummer to be honest as these headpones are great and I don't want a pair of beats.

UPDATE - Found Something - A CITA (Apple Standard) to OMTP (Opensource Standard) adapter may be used which could sort the problem out. Going to have to test it some some apple earpods first.
