Is there REALLY a big difference between normal ports and this or is this just a marketing plot?

The PS/2 port might be a marketing gimmick(because you really cant speed this up, and they all are good), but its good that they are including it. The 500-1000hz polling rates on the USB ports might be a big deal though, because I can notice the slight difference between 125hz and 1000hz, but I have had some motherboards freak out when I set my mouse to 1000hz(it gets real choppy or doesn't work at all). The "technical benefits" is just a gimmick.

I actually believed in this kind of crap before i became a tech savvy :P  Thanks for clearing my doubt!

nah

you wont notice any difference between 8ms and 1ms polling rate unless you play highly competitive fps

also most gaming mice support 1ms on normal ports anyway...so theres nothing MSI can really do to reduce that even further

For a second I thought MSI were going to re-introduce the actual gameport, then I saw that picture...

Edit: FYI, its been proven time and again that PS/2 is better for keyboards, and USB is better for mice. Further evidence is most newer mobo only support PS/2 for keyboards, not mice.
