would my system be any good at mining?

After i just read about this bitcoin mining and people claiming its good / people claming its bad.

I was thinking if my system is any good for this

Msi Mpower z77                               Motherboard

Msi GTX 680 4gb                             GPU

Intel I7 3770k clocked at 4.3Ghz      CPU

16 GB Corsair vengeance cl9          RAM

2 x Samsung 840 pro ssd in raid 0   HDD

3 x 2 TB western digital green          HDD

cosair AX860i Power supply             PSU

Corsair h100i water cooling

No not worth it you would be spending more on electricity than you would get in bitcoins. Your hash rate, because you have a Nvidia card, would be very poor.

AMD cards are recommended for mining. They seem to perform a lot better than the nvidia ones.

However, bitcoin mining is overrated. Check out this article: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/bitcoin-mining-make-money,3514.html

I would not bitcoin if I were you, do some litecoin mining, it is safer for gpu based mining

No you're system is NOT good for mining.

You are running an nvidia card, those cards are horrible miners and will cost you more in electricity than you can make in coins.

If you want to mine. Pick up a couple AMD 7950's. Or get on a year long pre-order list for an asic. Or better yet, buy some coins directly.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

Ask me about Bitcoin, Litecoin, Crypto-Currencies, and/or Mining them.

All i know is that my old AMD card is 3x faster/better for mining than even an GTX titan so yeaah. But then again, instead of mining i work.. ^^

The word is not "good", the word is "efficient" any gpu can be use to mine the difference is the efficiency and the power consumption/performance ratio (W/Mh [watt/Megahashes])

Nvidia gpus have a bad power/performance ratio. A single HD7850 will perform better than must nvidia.

besides, a mining rig dont need a highend CPU, multiple HDD,  (normaly a usb stick would do the trick) and 16GB of ram is to much.

If you gonna build a mining rig:

CPU: cheapest and less power = better

RAM: 4gb cheap with headsink

MOBO: good build quality and PCIe (depends on how many gpus you want to use)

GPU: 7850's or 7950's (AMD these give better hashes per watt)

PSU: platinum or gold rate, enough wattage to run your system @~85-90% load.

Looking around,

bla bla bla this, meh that!
