Is it large enough to justify a buy, as in I'll frequently get into near full/full games?

 

Personally thought BC2 was the best Battlefield ever and I kind of have the urge to play it again.

not a very big community, but people do still play it and there always seems to be populated servers. I just loaded it up and took a screenshot:

There's a good deal of servers still running.  I still find it hilarious that the boss of DICE himself was confused about why people loved BC2 so much.

make sure your search filters were setup correctly (like my screenshot above), I've never seen BC2 empty, there's always a few populated servers.

I prefer that game and the vietnam expasion to bf3 and bf4.

Awsome freaking games with good close quarters combat.
