And £1232.57 would be about 1555 euros...so that is above my budget

Yes, I am basicely buying a new pc because I want to use it for rendering. But well if I get a 5820k with a x99 motherboard it would be 80 euros more....dammit :P

I'd go with a 4790k then. While the 5820k is faster it's not really worth the extra cost (as it is a pretty significant price increase) unless being able to render something faster saves you a lot of money by allowing you to push out more videos/etc...

PSU Tier List | CoC

Gaming Build | FreeNAS Server

Spoiler

Spoiler

FreeNAS 9.3 - Stable || Xeon E3 1230v2 || Supermicro X9SCM-F || 32GB Crucial ECC DDR3 || 3x4TB WD Red (JBOD) || SYBA SI-PEX40064 sata controller || Corsair CX500m || NZXT Source 210.

Thank you for all your replies :) I think I'll go with the 4790K and just overclock it (because I have a watercooler and why not)

The money you save by going with a 290x is negated by the need for a larger psu and a significantly higher power draw.

It depends on where you live and on how long you will be using the GPU's, But you are right.

My Gaming PC
