Going back to windows 7 till 8.1 is released.

ERSCreeper

I'm getting F**king annoyed with windows 8 now. Random crashes, Blue screens, Internet doesn't work. Driver issues and compatibility.

This is me just having a Rant 30.

I've had Windows 8 since day and have yet to have had a blue-screen out side of overclocking.

Windows 8 is greatness, even the USB 3.0 drivers are waaaaaay better on W8 because they are integrated.

Something happened to your installation I assume

Yeah, while many people have issues with the Modern UI of Windows 8, the OS itself is VERY stable. It uses the same core as Windows 7 (with some minor changes, mostly in the file system) and the drivers are essentially the same as the Windows 7 ones.

If you are having crashes, freezes, and blue-screens, then there is something wrong with your hardware, or with your installation (corrupted, etc). Windows 8 is just as stable as Windows 7.

Can you please list the system specs you're running on, as well as when the issues started happening? Have you tested your RAM, CPU, and HDD for errors? (Run memtest, Prime95, and your HDD manufacturers diagnostics tool).

I didn't had any crash under Windows 7, 8 or XP, i guess i was lucky with hardware. But i had all sorts of "small" problems under all windows versions, some of them fixed by MS or newer drivers, some of them not.

Most anoying thing in WIn 8 so far for me is bad compatibility with old games, 2d platforms etc. in most of them, it send me a msg "your vidao adapter do not support hw acceleration bla bla", while in all other versions of Windows works without single problem, aside from "new UI" and that error, and lower performance in general for games (CPU limited games), everything is fine, but those are enough reasons to keep Windows 7 on main PC.

Windows 8 works far better with 2D Desktop enviroment for me, at least when i tested it.

Specs are in my Sig. I think it was a bad install on 8. Installed 7 and everything is running smoothly. I don't have any hardware issues since I used 7 for a long time and only upgraded to 8 on this system about 3 months ago. I will just wait till 8.1. Also there seems to be a bug on windows 8 with certain motherboard NIC's drivers. My friend with a gigabyte board has the same problems as me.

24/7 stable here on windows 8 tough i'm very anoyed by logitech gaming panel software that makes pc lag 1 out off 10 bootups.

Logitech is saying its driver issue with intel drivers.

Then put my keyboard mice on usb 3.0 which is not from intel same issues.

I am using the logitech gaming panel software and mine runs fine, have you tried reinstalling it?

Mmm, I had a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3P-B3, had to replace it with an Asrock one because of the NIC problem. Very annoying - so much for the 'Windows 8 ready' claim on their website. Love Windows 8 though.

You know what? Don't install shitty programs on your PC and try not to watch p0rn on random sites

No random crashes, no driver issues, 1 blue screen (overclocking fail). Internet problems? Thats your IP.

Think before you do anything

I don't watch porn since I have a GF. So steam, Microsoft office and netbeans is shitty now? I'm pretty sure when windows doesn't detect my ethernet cable its not IP related.

ouch sounds bad man, I haven't had any problems yet! :o

Same here! I've only had one BSOD and that's because of AMD drivers.

I did a full reset a while back and I was really glad to see wireless and motherboard drivers already pre-installed.

Not detecting ethernet cable cable or adapter?

Have you tried checking for motherboard BIOS updates?

How is it a bug of Windows, if no one else has this problem.

The Ethernet chip that MSI used in your motherboard is the problem. Contact MSI for Beta drivers, or have them push the manufacture to support Windows 8.

If you have purchased the motherboard because it says its Windows 8 ready, you can contact MSI for an exchange due to false advertisement.

Windows 8 is based on Win7... nothing on the driver front changed.

And no one else have your problems, so I blame on the installer. :)

Well... not entirely true, at least on Laptop systems. I have a Samsung NP535U4C-S02CA laptop with an A8-4555M APU and a Radeon HD 7600G + 7550M Dual Graphics card setup. On Windows 7, I can simply goto AMD's support site, and download any drivers I want, including the latest beta drivers. With Windows 8 installed, no matter what I do, short of manually installing the .inf driver files, I cannot get the installer to let me proceed as it "Doesn't support/detect the card" in my system, and tells me to get the drivers from the manufacturer. Funny thing is last I checked, Samsung only had drivers for Windows 7 from August 2012 on their support page... They don't even recognize Windows 8 which came with the laptop... So I have to update it through their SW Update program (which is fine, the updates are just behind official channels) until I decide to stick with Windows 7.

On that note, I have not switched to Windows 7 yet because I am loving some of the perks of Windows 8's clean looks and fast startup times WITHOUT an SSD. I personally don't use any of the Windows 8 apps, not because I don't/can't learn new layouts, but because most of my work resides in Photoshop, Notepad++, and Chrome/Firefox/Opera.
