Last Minute Compatibility Check

Go to solution Solved by KamiKatze,

I'd say it's pretty good. The case is not my taste due to much plastic, but it will hold all your hardware. I'd just change your HDD to a equivalent from Western Digital as they are more reliable.

Will this work? I can't afford to screw up.

Roses are red, violets are blue, computers are awesome, and so are you!

Should be perfectly fine, although i'd reccomend getting a different PSU

This corsair CX750, found here is a pretty good PSU

I would still change a few things:

- The NZXT PHantom is pretty expensive plastic, it's a really mediocre case. I recommend getting something else instead

- http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20850xr%C2'> More watts, has enough power for CF R9 290, is the best 850W PSU you can get aside from the AX860i.

- If you can't afford to go GTX 970 then go with the Sapphire Tri-x. It's the best cooler after the Vapor-X

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Yes, it will work but get this PSU instead: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cs650m

SuperFlower Leadex is much better than Corsair CS

That's a shame. Oh well I still recommend getting the G2 850W and the GTX 970 if the budget allows it (you should push for the PSU anyways if you want CF potential in the future)

The Leadex is better than both the cx and cs series although I would go with a cs550 for the thin cables and lower price: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/LT8WP6

Some sources would be nice. WD and Seagate are more or less the same for reliability from what I've seen.

I didn't know that, sorry. But the Corsair one has a lower price and the same wattage and it's still a good PSU.

Ye it's still good and the flat cables are very nice for cable management

Looks good. Get the case from Overclockers as well, as it is the same price. Then use this code 'SFCASE' for free delivery.
