Black & White - 540 Air build

Odina

Hi.

After some time now with my mITX computer ( http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/115258-black-uv-yellow-bitfenix-prodigy-build/ ) I have decided that I want to go back to ATX board. I've always wanted a Corsair 540 Air case so I just bought one to build a "new" gaming rig :D

PARTS:

Case: Corsair 540 Air

Motherboard: MSI Z97 SLI Krait Edition

CPU: Intel i7 4770K (From old computer)

GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 780 3GB DDR5 DirectCU II (I plan on getting another one for SLI around april when my birthday is up) (From old computer)

RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 2x8GB DDR3 1600MHz (From old computer)

PSU: Corsair RM650 Modular Power Supply (From old computer)

SSD/HDD: Samsung 840 EVO Series 120GB SSD (From old computer)

Kingston SSDNow V300 Basic 120GB   (From old computer)

Seagate Desktop HDD 1TB 7200RPM  (From old computer)

For this build I'm not going to do my own sleeving, I'm going to buy white Bitfenix Alchemy cable extenders because they are cheap and look great (saves me ALOT of time) ;)

Same, I love the blacked out clean look of the PCB.

Direct CUII on a white & black build?

The only thing that's red on that GPU are some parts of the fan cover. You would probably not even see it since the GPUs are pretty close to the bottom of the case.

And air 540 has tinted window so the reds aren't that prominent from the outside.

Have direct cuII in mine and have never seen it unless I really tilt down and look from underneath. Kinda makes me wanna buy an inverted mobo layout case....

When I was choosing a case, it was between the Corsair 540, and H440. You are making me regret my decision!

Your Picture make that case look huge. My bro has the same case (In black) and it looks TINY compared to my case which is a Diablotek Evolution.

No one ever use that case? Like, at all?

Nice build, great choice on the motherboard. I have been working on a black and white build in the same case as you for couple months now. Looking forward to seeing how yours turns out.
