I think im bottlenecking Help?

i5 4690k

z-97

samsung evo

no overclocking

temp is good

 

and shes getting like 25 fps in dayz 

 

her build is close to mine and i get like 65 fps 

what could be happening?

That's not bottlenecking - I can tell you that much.

No the processor is not bottlenecking the GPU, I had a superclocked 780 ti and I struggle to get 40 - 45 FPS in ARMA 3. This game performs differently on every rig .. dont know why

DayZ is not a game where you should test your PC. It's not even on Beta, and graphics are just retardedly demanding for no reason.

it's most likely literally, because it's DayZ.

Try comparing with a different more sane game.

Well, DayZ is very very badly optimised. So, the wind is probably blowing in the right direction.

 

Make sure her settings are fine on the game. Arma has some super intensive settings that can be enabled....

May not be, but going from 4 cores at 3.5 Ghz to 8 at 4Ghz is a good upgrade.

More cores =/= better when comparing AMD to Intel. AMD may have 8 cores, but Intel's are faster.
