Sure, just find/buy a VGA -> DVI adapter any you will be good to go.

you will need a DVI-i to VGA adapter though!!!!

And be sure to use the DVI-I port on your GTX 980, not the DVI-D port.

Well ofcourse it'll work if you have a VGA to DVI converter.

If you are also getting a graphics card, the adapter for VGA-DVI might come with it, the last 3 gpu's i bought came with one.

Now that I think about it, I dont think my 980 did come with one. I'm pretty sure that makes it the first GPU I have ever bought that didn't have one in the box.
