The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings

TorguL

Is this worth buying? What's the gameplay like and the combat system?

In short yes. In long yeeeeeeeeeeeessssssss

The gameplay is an action RPG, and the combat is a combo based system. The learning curve is a bit steep, but when you get it it's briliant

I have never played the first Witcher and when I started I found the Combat System to be very hard. It took a bit of learning and understanding what works best. The best tip I can give you is to level the magical shield as soon as possible.

I would say at least read the story of the first game before starting it, because the game does not explain a lot in the beginning.

If you have the system to run it it looks amazing, but uses a lot of system power.

If you are willing to learn a game for a bit and want to be immersed in a rather long game definitly buy it.

It's probably my favorite game ever. The characters are great *cough* my avatar *cough* and the story is really interesting.

I just finished it a couple days ago and I really enjoyed it!  It's got a great feel and the mature nature of the game really makes it feel different from other games.  If you buy it on Steam you can still get a DRM free backup copy from GOG.com since that is owned by CD Projekt Red (the developers of the Witcher series).  I would highly recommend The Witcher 2!
