800Dusty

Dat dust filter gore. Still love the 800D though, after all of these years.

hey guys :D
I'm having a hard time deciding if the logo itself should be black or bare alu
If I have the logo black it'll be stealthy until the lights are on.
Or if I leave it bare alu it will be visible all the time. (imo) looks quite good, but is a real fingerprint magnet.

The logos are interchangeable, so if it's possible to pry out after the main plate is fitted to the case it might not be a problem (but I don't want to take that chance)

Hey I would recommend the bare aluminum logo! The beauty of it should be seen at all time and if it's going to just stay where it is in the last picture, then definitely keep it bare aluminum! By the way, awesome build log so far! Good luck on the rest!

I like black/black.

If you manage to get a real straight good bend on the GPU->CPU tube, it will look better.

I tried that first :/

It wasn't realy possible as the GPU outlet - CPU innlet are slightly offset, having a 90 would make this very noticeable.

I went with 2x 45 to hide the offset, this also kinda makes the tuing from the res to the midplate fit in more as that one is 45 too.

If I had gone with a 90 I would have to make it with a dogleg or something which imo is worse than 2x 45

While you're at it do your friend a favor and get rid of that ugly old over sized badly designed case, get something new and modern looking, no matter how much work you put into this it'll still look outdated.

What's the problem with the TJ11? Looks awesome IMO (except for the two vents on the side) all aluminium design (great for modding) and a nice internal layout.

Quite Old case yes, but it was ahead of it's time when it came out

are you going to install lighting?

Like some subtle led's?

But the TJ11 is amazing  :o same with 800D, as long as you mod any of those two they're gonna last another good 3-4 years imo

800D 3-4 years, TJ11 10-20 years  ;)

I'm starting to drool over the TJ11 myself, you just can't argue with quality all aluminium constuction. I bought the 900D some time ago for 1/2 price, and now I feel kinda stuck with it.

Next time I'll probably go with a case-labs or something similar.

It was...I still am... :o
