Now I got I had decision to make BL2710PT, Q2770PQU, VP2770, EV2736W :P I'm currently leaning towards BenQ BL2710PT

also what is the difference between a PLS and IPS?

Would the 12ms be noticeable?

Well I don't think you'd be disappointed. It's a great monitor. :)

Also, what is the difference between a PLS and IPS?

Well, to help answer that question I've provided to links (courtesy of TFT Central) that should give you all the information you need.

AH-IPS - http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/content/panel_technologies_content.htm#ah-ips

PLS - http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/content/panel_technologies_content.htm#pls

Would the 12ms be noticeable?

To answer this, I've provided another link (courtesy of TFT Central) that should answer your questions about this quite thoroughly.

Response Time - http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/speccontent.htm#response%20time

I hope that helps and answers your questions. :)

If I'm not able to get that monitor would Dell U2713HM be a good choice as-well? as not many supplier stock BenQ in NZ.

If you can find it (or even wait for it to be released if you can't find it) I would encourage you to go for the newest model, the Dell U2715H. The reason is is that this newer model allows you to adjust the pixel response time, unlike older models like the U2713HM, this is important because on previous Dell monitors, with the pixel response time not user adjustable, you'd often get a too aggressive pixel response time setting, set by Dell, that resulted in things like video that would have a very choppy playback regardless of how good your PC was. So, if you can get it or even if you have to wait for it, I would strongly encourage you to go for the newest Dell U2715H if you can't find the BenQ monitor.

For extra info on this newest Dell monitor I've provided you a couple of links.
